Hello.
I am searching the radios Yaesu FT-980, Heathkit SB-102 with companion power supply HP-23 possibly inside a speaker SB-600 (or eventually the twins SB-401+SB-301 or SB-401+SB-303). I am interested eventually in other radios of the 1965-1985 period, receiver+transmitter twins or transceivers, both all-tube, hybrid or all solid state (but those interest me the least). I don't search any other Yaesu besides the FT-980.
I can repair it by myself if it's not working so feel free to make your offer; of course price need to be reasonable for the condition. I strongly prefer UNMODIFIED radios, in particular I am not interested in radios with added holes in the panels, in particular the front, repainted (or rusty), etc... I am not a reseller, I am a SWL and a true radio enthusiast, but I know the market, those radios are 30+ years old and spare parts are scarce: if you don't want to sell, don't ask a crazy price, just don't contact me. If you are one of those who dismount pieces (like filters) from your radio to sell them separately on ebay, don't contact me. I live in north Italy so you should agree to make a package that will survive courier shipping but I have already received contacts thank to this site, I already bought radios from Germany and Austria and so far the rules about packaging we agreed worked, so it's possible! My thanks to the friends who I had contact with.
By the way, I will be happy, to the limit of my time and knowledge, to give advice to anyone who is repairing radios of this era, FOR FREE of course, so just ask.
